An Update on Schengen Visa Fees
Fees and procedures in the Schengen process are updated from time to time. Keeping track is our job: we build your plan around what is in force today.

Fees, application centre procedures and the way appointments are run in the Schengen process are all updated from time to time. Each change looks small on its own, yet together they can move both the budget and the schedule of an application. We follow these headings closely and build your application plan around the practice that is actually in force.
What can change
Updates tend to fall under three headings: consulate fees and application centre service charges, how the centres operate and how appointments are booked, and the form in which documents are requested. There is no telling in advance which of them will change or when — which is what makes planning on the basis of "it worked like this last year" a risk.
We deliberately publish no figures here. A number written into an article goes out of date quickly and sets the wrong expectation; what counts is the practice in force on the day you apply.
What it means for your application
A change on the fee side affects your budget; a change to appointments affects your schedule. Calendars fill fast in the busy travel seasons, so a delay of a few weeks can move your travel date entirely.
Updates to the required format tend to hit the applicants who prepared earliest: even with everything already in hand, some documents may need to be reissued once the accepted format changes.
What we suggest
When you plan your application, confirm the current position as close to the day as you can, and build the fees into your budget from the start. Working with us takes that tracking off your plate: in the first conversation we go through the fees, timings and steps that apply that day. If your travel date is still some way off, we work out together when it makes sense to start — beginning early is not always right, beginning at the right moment is. To plan an application around where things actually stand, start with our free pre-assessment.
